David Beazley’s Keynote Talk at PyData Chicago 2016

One of the things we’ve noticed over the years is how enthusiastic people are about Python, which shows in this keynote address by David Beazley.

The Video Screening Room

This post-lunch screencast presentation by David Beazley is so entertaining, you can enjoy it without knowing any Python programming whatsoever. The aside comments alone are worth the price of admission. I won’t tell you the topic of the presentation. Suffice it to say — plenty funny.

Spend some time with a person who adores Python. His enthusiasm is infectious. Show this video to an aspiring Python programmer, too. And don’t forget to subscribe to David Beazley’s YouTube channel. That’s a nice little tip of the hat you can give Dave.

I’d love to be able to read transcripts of these videos. It’s bad enough that our internet connection os so slow, which often makes viewing the videos on line impossible, but towards the end of the month we experience shaping, which makes it even slower, so It’s becomes impossible to even download the video, without the whole thing dropping out.

But yes Python is a really lovely language, I often wish I had heard of it instead of Visual Basic, back when I moved from Mainframes, and COBOL, to development on PC based systems.
