Nerdearla 101 (Buenos Aires)
We don’t know a heck of a lot about this conference from Argentina, but according to its website they had over 18,000 people registered for last year’s event. Being that it’s a hybrid event, both in person and online, we’re assuming that the large number includes both the people who joined from home and who registered to be there in person.
If we understand the website correctly, October 19 will be online only and all other days will be both online and in-person.
According to the event’s website:
“Our goal is that at Nerdearla you can learn languages, platforms and paradigms that will help you advance in your professional career.
“You will also find a community that will give you support and help you grow.
“We are joined by top-level companies that make it possible for the event to be 100% free and many of which are hiring. During the event you will be able to learn more about them and their job offers!”
Did you catch that? Whether in-person or online you can attend free of charge, and if you show up in-person, some of the event’s sponsors will be present to talk about job opportunities — which is always cool beans in our book.
At the time of this writing (August 30) registration is not open yet, so we’re linking the “Register for Event” button to the page where you can preregister. Hopefully, somebody at the event will use our “Submit an Event” feature to notify us when registration is open so we can post a link.
If your company or organization will be hosting a Linux or open source-focused event, let us know about it by submitting it to FOSS Force’s Events Calendar. No matter how large or small, from local users group meetings to large conferences, we want to help you get out the word. Submit your event using our convenient online form.
