Open Source Summit – Japan

While the Linux Foundation’s Open Source Summit Japan isn’t quite as huge of an event as the conference’s North American and European versions, it still has plenty to offer for Japanese Linux and open source communities.

For example, it has most if not all of the sub-conferences you’ve come to expect from Open Source Summit, including LinuxCon, Automotive Linux Summit, Cloud Open, OSPOCon, Critical Software Summit, Community Leadership Conference and more.

At the time we’re writing this, the conference’s Call for Papers is still underway, so the schedule hasn’t yet been set, but should be made public soon on the conference’s website as soon as the folks at Linux Foundation put it together.

This year’s Japan Summit is taking place in Yokohama, Japan’s largest port, which the Linux Foundation says is a “high-tech commercial hub” that is “home to a distinctive food and art culture with a seaside view. Yokohama is where urban lifestyle meets natural landscapes offering endless activities – amusement parks, world class shopping centers, zoos, sumo wrestling, and traditional dance theaters to name a few.”

We will update this listing when more information is available.
