LinuxFest NorthWest 2025
Right now, we can’t tell you anything about this but the upcoming dates and venue.
The event’s website has pics and names for seven people who are evidently already vetted to be on the schedule when it happens, but nothing else.
That’s going to change soon, however. The event’s CFP ends on January 10, so shortly after that they’ll be announcing the schedule and getting the ball rolling.
LFNW is one of the oldest Linux conferences and one that remains hugely popular, especially with those who prefer their open source on the free software side.
What we can tell you about the host city is that back in the late ’60s and early ’70s Bellingham, Washington was one of those hip mecca places with an underground paper, The Northwest Passage, that was considered to be an important part of the North American hippie/New Left counterculture. The hippest of the hip on Capital Hill in Seattle wished they were in Bellingham.
Keep your eyes on this spot. As soon as we know more about LinuxFest NorthWest, we’ll let you know.
