Independent FOSS journalism doesn’t fund itself. In this video, FOSS Force Linux apps columnist Jack Wallen makes his pitch for why our 2026 Independence fundraiser deserves your support.
Jack Wallen first wrote for FOSS Force in 2023 and, since June 2025, has been covering Linux apps for us every week. Last week, after we fired up our FOSS Force Independence 2026 fundraiser, Wallen — who has an extensive theater background — recorded this video for his YouTube channel, calling on people to contribute, which we think hits some important points about why our work matters.
Watch the video, then please go to our fundraiser’s GoFundMe page and make a contribution.
