Free since 2014

Free admission has been the rule since Nerdearla began in 2014 with roughly 50 people in a Buenos Aires basement. The conference now draws more than 50,000 participants a year across editions in Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Spain. Its 13th Buenos Aires edition, held in September, brought more than 12,000 people on site and more than 30,000 online. Nerdearla first came to Mexico City in 2024. Every talk is published afterward in the conference’s public archive, which holds more than 1,300 recorded sessions.

The 2026 Mexico City edition is supported by Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft, Spin, Valkey and Devin, among other sponsors.

“Mexico has one of the largest and fastest-growing developer communities in the Americas, and we want it to have the same access to world-class speakers that Buenos Aires has had for twelve years, at no cost,” said Ariel Jolo, founder of Nerdearla and Sysarmy. “Whether someone walks into Expo Reforma or watches from Chicago or Barcelona, every session and every recording stays free.”

What comes next

The 2027 calendar includes Santiago, Chile, in April; Buenos Aires in September; and Madrid in November. The organization is also in early planning for its first U.S. edition, targeting Austin, Texas, in 2028, with details to be announced. Sponsorship inquiries go through nerdearla.com/en/sponsors.
